OPERATION GLORIOUS MISSION 2010

December 23, 2009

As we got to the middle of December 2009, I found myself thinking about the outgoing year and the in-coming year.

The question began to circulate in my mind, “What specific things does the Father would like for me to do in the in-coming year 2010 so I could help fulfill the Great Commission? What’s the Master’s battle plan for me in the new year concerning the Glorious Mission?”

In answer, the words flowed into my mind from the Throne of Mercy, “Embark on Operation Glorious Mission 2010.”

What is the objective of Operation Glorious Mission 2010 as the Spirit of God spoke it into my mind?

The objective of Operation Glorious Mission 2010 is that by the end of year 2010,
1. A million people from many parts of the world will have heard the gospel of Jesus Christ and the Word of God from Operation Glorious Mission 2010 team to be led by me,
2. A minimum of 100 new churches will have been planted,
3. At least eighty percent of the existing UCEM Churches will have grown spiritually and numerically.

We will seek to achieve this objective mainly through
• serious prayer warfare
• aggressive mass evangelism
• days of power campmeetings
• the internet
• gospel video productions.

Tough? You are telling me!

To tell the truth, I put a cross on the written objective two times, saying, “God, this is unrealistic goals.” And each time, the Lord would respond, “With God, all things are possible.”

The problem I was looking at was money. I knew very well that spiritually and mentally, my people and I were capable. Thirty years experience on the Lord’s battle-field has taught me hard work in the Lord’s vineyard and how to get a lot of things done for God.

But operating money! That’s the real gnawing problem that most ministers in my part of the world have to deal with.

For this project, about $50,000 dollars would be needed to get the basic gospel and mission equipment, for maintenance and other necessary services.

In response to my question about the money problem, the Lord put it in my mind to share the vision with God’s people on the Net and establish Glorious Mission 2010 Fund.

Who am I, by the way?

I am a Minister of God and a Christian Writer.

As a Minister of God, I have been serving the Lord for thirty years as an Evangelist, a Pastor, a Teacher of the Word and Ministry Overseer.

As a Christian Writer, I write Christians articles, booklets and books. You will find many of my Christian articles on several websites on the Internet. I write Christian plays for comic books, stage and film productions. I prepare Bible-study papers and minister’s training courses and manuals.

There are several other abilities and skills that I have and I am using for the advancement of the kingdom of God, such as, graphic art and design, website building and designing, computer operation, play directing and film editing.

Am I a Nigerian scam operator (419)?

God forbid! Lots of my sermons and writings are directed against acts of dishonesty. I spend a lot of time warning people about money-love and covetousness. In January, I am starting an anti-scam website or Blog. You see, in spite of what you may have heard about Nigerians, there are many of us who are still God-fearing enough to loathe the very hand that touches dishonest money and to despise every act of corruption.

Type my name, Raphael Oye Taiwo, into Google Search Engine and see what you will come up with. I mean, I am well known on the Internet for the word of God I write and the educative articles I produce.

Are my websites and blogs money ploy?

No. All my websites and blogs are dedicated to the glory of God. Money-generation is never a factor in their creations.

Hello world!

December 21, 2009

Hello Fellow,

Welcome to Glorious Mission Blog.

What Mission?

The God-given mission of preaching the gospel of Christ and teaching the true Word of God throughout the world in the power of the Holy Spirit for salvation of the lost, the deliverance of the oppressed and the spiritual growth of the believers.

This is just not an ordinary mission, like mundane worldly tasks. It is a glorious mission, being given directly from the Holiest of holy and King of kings. It is a mission we must do everything possible to accomplish – now!

The big question is: “Are you, as a child of God, doing your best so that the Operation Glorious Mission can be accomplished in the shortest possible time?”

It is sad that many people of God today are not so concerned about the words of Christ in Matthew 28:19-20, Go ye therefore, and teach all nations…Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you. Mark 16:15, …Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.

They are more interested in the material wealth and secular glory of the church. But, sorry, our multi-million-dollar church buildings, our large membership rolls, our posh mission houses and expensive church materials are no proof of dynamic Christianity.

By forgetting their holy, glorious mission, the people of Christ are like shame-causing children who spend their time sleeping during the harvest (Proverbs 10:5).

Fellow, don’t forget this: the time is short (1 Cor. 7:29). We cannot continue to handle the great commission – the glorious mission of the church – lazily and unconcernedly. Time is no longer in our favor. With every tick of the clock we move nearer to the day when we will stand before the judgment seat of Christ and give account as to what we have done with His words.

So, what we must do for our Lord, we must do now.
